4Great value; easy choice for many players  Apr 04, 2010
For a first mandolin, you can't really go wrong with this model at this price. I can't add much more than the other reviewers have already said. I like it!

5Great mandolin  Feb 08, 2010
I bought this mandolin for my son for Christmas. He plays the fiddle and enjoys playing the mandolin. This was a good first mandolin for him.

5Amazing for the money!  Jan 18, 2010
It is obviously not the best mandolin in the world, but for the money it is almost worth buying two. Out of the box the first thing you will notice is that cosmetically this thing looks awesome. It takes a few minutes to get the strings to stay in tune which is to be expected. I would recommend getting some new strings on it... The ones on it sound a bit tinny.

5Great Buy!  Oct 28, 2009
Received the mandolin very fast. had to adjust the bridge position and tune it up, but 10 minutes later i was plinking away! I have played guitar for 11 years, so i picked up playing pretty quickly the first day. for $50 you can't go wrong with this little mandolin. If you are interested in trying a new instrument, or are looking to expand your axe collection with something different, definitely buy this cheap but sweet toned mandolin.

5Very pleased  Sep 28, 2009
The list price of $149 would have been way too high, but at under fifty bucks this is a bargain. Nicely finished with a pleasant sound.
Doesn't stay in tune long enough to be used on stage, but as I'm only using it for home recording that's not a problem.
If you're looking for a pretty good "starter" mandolin, you can't go wrong with this one.
